Course Description:
This course will provide an introduction to wireless communication using the 4G cellular LTE (Long Term Evolution) standard as the motivating example. Topics will include: models for the wireless channel, narrowband and wideband cellular paradigms, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), channel coding, multiple antenna (MIMO) techniques, interference avoidance, and radio resource management.
